This wiki was created by myself, Brian White, to publish things I had learned about the set-up and configuration of the Linux operating system. It all started with the LDAP Authentication document that I put together after several weeks of setting up LDAP on my company's network. There was plenty of information on the Internet, but it wasn't all in one place and, worst off all, it was all static! There was no way for me to clarify what was already there or add new information.

I've long been a fan of the Wikipedia idea and figured I could create a similar thing for storing general information regarding the care and feeding of a Linux system. After a day of setup and reformatting of the document I'd written, "LinuxWiki" got it's first document.

It is my sincere hope that an easy way to submit and modify this information will make it easier for others to find the instructions they need and help further the use of Linux in both home and corporate environments.
